Look What I've Brought You: The UK Selection continues with Bruno Ceschel!

Bruno Ceschel, writer, curator, and educator at the University of the Arts London, ECAL, Cornell Image and Text MFA, and founding director of Self Publish Be Happy (SPBH), is coming to Turkey for the first time.

We will meet on Friday, March 31st to discuss the photobooks Bruno has designed over the years. We will talk about the relationship of book designers with authors and publishers, the importance and influence of designers in making photobooks/artbooks. We will have time to review all the books before the event. Even if you can't check it out, remember that you can access the books in Ka's library!

We invite all lens-based creators and designers who wish to receive feedback from Bruno about their work or projects, to apply for the open call for the portfolio review to be held on Saturday, April 1st.

Participation in the event, where we will talk about photography and design, is free and open to everyone.

Bruno Ceschel

Bruno Ceschel is a writer, curator and publisher whose works primarily explore contemporary photography. His research focuses on issues relating to identity, with an emphasis on gender, sexuality and racial formation. Ceschel is also the founder of Self Publish, Be Happy, an organisation that collects and studies contemporary artists’ books and has an ever-travelling mobile library.

Ceschel regularly writes for various international publications, such as FOAM and Aperture, and has co-edited the journal Photography and Culture. Ceschel has also published and edited numerous photography books, and participated in events at many UK and international museums and galleries, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), Whitechapel Gallery (both London), Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and PS1 (both New York).
